Activity in our forums or on the MyPoM wall

MyPoM’s social media facilities are intended to be a place to connect and to share civil debate, stories, and experiences. We strive to create a safe and positive community on our social media channels, so we require that all users heed the following Community Guidelines.

We encourage you to comment and interact with our social media accounts, as we want to build a positive and supportive online community. We welcome contributions and comments, including healthy debate, constructive feedback, and suggestions, but please remember to stay on topic and respectful with what you post.

Comment Moderation Policy

MyPoM will not tolerate and reserves the right to remove or edit any posts or comments that:

  • are hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, disturbing, violent, or inappropriate;
  • are abusive, bullying, threatening, or harassing others;
  • contain spam, promotional material (except for your own business offerings), or links to third-party websites for the purposes of commercial promotion (except for your own business offerings).
  • encourage, condone or incite criminal or illegal activity;
  • are sexually explicit or pornographic;
  • include Personally Identifiable Information;
  • are fraudulent, include information that is false, inaccurate, or misleading;

MyPoM is the sole arbiter of moderation on our website and our decisions are final and absolute.

MyPoM Advanced

MyPoM Advanced is a month-to-month membership subscription which can be cancelled at any time except where it is included in a PoMPProtect membership level

Benefits

  • Content Acess

    You will have unrestricted but read-only access to articles and posts MyPoM publishes.

  • Forums Access

    You will have access to any forums or other forms of membership interaction MyPoM provides

Restrictions

Apart from the normal restrictions of copyright, there are none.

PomProtect Lite

PomProtect Lite is an annual  membership subscription which cannot be cancelled during the membership year unless cancellation is permitted at the sole discretion of MyPoM Ltd.

Benefits

  • MyPoM Advanced

    You will have unrestricted but read-only access to articles and posts MyPoM publishes.

Restrictions

Apart from the normal restrictions of copyright, there are none.

If your payments are cancelled or fail, 

  1. MyPoM Ltd reserves the right to collect any outstanding balance due from you.
  2. All your membership benefits shall immediately be withdrawn
  • Tax Enquiry Cover

    You will have access to MyPoM's appointed tax specialists to assist and represent you in the event of a tax enquiry being raised by HMRC into you or your business.

  1. Cover begins 30 days after joining MyPoM
  2. Any fraud investigations are excluded.
  3. Applies only to UK tax disputes raised by HMRC

  • Jury Service Cover

    If you are called for jury service in the UK, we will compensate you up to £500 per day for up to 10 days, provided you are in work at the time of your jury service.

  1. Cover begins 30 days after joining MyPoM
  2. Applies only to jury service where you receive notice of service after you joined MyPoM
  3. Does not apply to deferred jury service where you received the original notice before joining MyPoM
  4. Cover is limited to your day rate less any payment you receive from the Court in relation to your jury service
  5. Cover is for a maximum of 10 days jury service
  6. Cover is limited to a maximum rate of £500 per day.
  • SSP/Sickness top-up cover

    If you are off work sick for more than three weeks, we will cover you up to maximum of £500 per day for a period of two weeks.

  1. Cover is not available or applicable to those over 60
  2. Cover begins 30 days after joining MyPoM
  3. Applies only to periods of illness occurring service after you joined MyPoM
  4. Applies only after you have already been off work for three weeks
  5. You will be required to provide documentary evidence for any claim, including but mot limited to a doctor’s letter
  6. Cover is limited to your day rate less any payment you receive from your employer for Statutory Sick Pay or any other compensation awarded in relation to the same period of illness..
  7. Cover is for a maximum of 10 days illness
  8. Cover is limited to a maximum rate of £500 per day.
  • Tax & Legal Helplines

    You will have access to helplines for tax and legal enquires. The tax helpings are open during normal working hours and the legal helplines are 24/7.

  1. Cover begins 14 days after joining MyPoM
  2. Neither helpline can provide case-specific advice.
  3. The assistance you receive do not constitute legal advice
  • Template Library

    You will have access to MyPoM's template library, providing a range of legal and business templates which you can use freely.

  1. Nothing in our template library constitutes legal or financial advice and you should always consider obtaining such advice from professionals.
  • MyPoM Rewards Lite

    You will have access to MyPoM's rewards site, brining you great discounts on a huge range of shops and services - you can normally save your entire MyPoM Membership fee if you use this benefit wisely.

  1. The content of MyPoM Rewards  can vary, and we do not guarantee what is available at one point will continue too be available in the future.

PomProtect Plus

PomProtect Plus is an annual  membership subscription which cannot be cancelled during the membership year unless cancellation is permitted at the sole discretion of MyPoM Ltd.

Benefits

  • Everything in PomProtect Lite

    You will have unrestricted but read-only access to articles and posts MyPoM publishes.

Restrictions

Please see the restrictions in the relevant PomProtect Lite section

If your payments are cancelled or fail, 

  1. MyPoM Ltd reserves the right to collect any outstanding balance due from you.
  2. All your membership benefits shall immediately be withdrawn
  3. Any claims you have made and are in progress will be immediately ceased and all cover will be null and void
  4. You will forfeit all rights payments for any outstanding claims
  • Default Cover

    Should your client, agency or umbrella go into legal administration or liquidation, we will cover you for up to £20,000 of any unpaid wages or invoices.

  1. Cover begins 30 days after joining MyPoM as a PomProtect Plus Member
  2. The default event must occur after you join PomProtect Plus
  3. Your client, agency or umbrella must be in legal administration or liquidation
  4. Cover excludes Members Voluntary Liquidation
  5. This cover does not apply to commercial debts, late payments or disputed sums
  6. You must assign their debt to you to us and allow us to attempt recover
  7. Cover is limited to £20,000 for any one claim
  8. cover is limited to £250,000 in the aggregate in respect of any one client, agency or umbrella
  9. Cover is limited to an aggregate of £5,000,000 in any one calendar year. 
  • MyPoM Rewards Plus

    As well as access to MyPoM's rewards site, you will also receive access to online GPs, savings at BP Fuel stations and more

  1. The Fuel Card requires you to enrol separately and will incur a separate cost, payable to the provider.
